In 1494 Leonardo da Vinci started working for Ludovico Sforza, the duke of Milan.

In December 2020 archaeologists found two skeletons in the collegiate church of Saint-Ours de Loches. One is thought to be that of the Duke of Milan, Ludovic Sforza.

The last time they saw each other was in 1499 in Italy, but by co-incidence Leonardo and his most loyal patron, Ludovico Sforza, the Duke of Milan, the Italians died in France just twenty-five miles from each other.
