The Camera Manual Companion

This guide was written with two kinds of photographer in mind: The new camera owner and the mobile phone photographer transitioning to a larger format camera. It introduces the reader to the principles of photography in easy to read non-technical language.

Many manuals describe in great detail how to change settings, navigate menus and the many different functions of the camera. However, many fail to explain the general principles of photography and when to use the different modes and functions. This companion book bridges that gap and should be read alongside your camera manual.

The author Mark Playle, is a prize winning photographer. He has shot London Fashion Week, Le Mans 24hr and has photographed Daphne Selfe, one of the world's top Supermodels. His work has been exhibited at The Photography Show in the UK, in Hamburg and across Europe. Based in the heart of The Loire Valley he offers year round photography tours and masterclass workshops in one of the most beautiful regions of France.
